Program Coordinator
Salary: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour based on experience; paid holidays; Personal Time Off – 120 hours, Retirement Simple IRA plan with 3% employer match, $350 Benefit Stipend (paid in first paycheck of the month)
Reports to: Director of Programs
Position Summary: The Program Coordinator is responsible for implementing the successful coordination of ACBC programs by working closely with operations and other departments, to support food access and create positive participant experiences.
Position responsibilities (essential functions) include (but not limited to):
- Coordinate Outreach Delivery Program operational and volunteer needs
- Coordinate Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) operational and volunteer needs
- Coordinate Order Ahead orders for new Outdoor Temperature Controlled Lockers and ensure optimal food accuracy, volunteer packing, participant communication, and data entry
- Secure and maintain accurate statistics, records, and documentation and ensure collection and timely reporting and data entry of specified programs
- Work closely with volunteers and staff on daily operations and special events
- Work closely with staff to ensure food product inventory related to programs
- Maintain emergency bags as needed, including any support with local churches or agencies
- Support Thrift Store as needed
- General support and special events as needed
- Promote a safe and respectful work environment for staff, volunteers, and participants
- Promote food shelf mission
Required skills and experience:
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience/education (one to three years)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Time management, adaptability, and organization skills
- Attention to detail and problem solving
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Ability to support and contribute to team goals
- Valid drivers’ license and reliable vehicle for local travel
- Strong computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office and experience with client database systems
- Knowledge of advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Network and knowledge of community resources
